Hello.
This blog is a document of my 1,900km pilgrimage to Rome from Canterbury along the Via Francigena in 2018.

On this site you’ll find:
About – a couple of pages where I’ve written a very short history of the Francigena and an even shorter explanation of myself.
Diary – a record of the trip.
Thoughts – notes of tangential relevance to the actual walk.
Contact – where you can say hi if you don’t already have my phone number. Not to be used by my mother.

Although I am interested in researching the Francigena in a moderately academic way I won’t have the resources or energy to provide comprehensive footnotes or references to most of my posts. If I’ve got something wrong please let me know so I can correct it. If you’d like to learn more also get in touch and I can share my reading lists with you.
